Psalm 1

Psalm 1 is the first scripture I ever memorized! My favorite verse is the third. I want to be like a tree planted by streams of water, I want to produce fruit in season. I do not want to wither, but rather prosper! I do not want to be like the chaff, blown away by the wind.

Oh Lord, help me to delight in you, to meditate on your law, both day and night!!

 Psalm 1

Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither.
   Whatever he does prospers.
 4 Not so the wicked!
   They are like chaff
   that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.

  2. Love this shot & the verse speaks to me. The tree has complete & constant access to all the nourishment it needs, wow if I could realize that I too can be nourished by HIM in the same way.

  5. First time here and I had to click your profile because your picture looks exactly like a river I grew up by, but my river was in Illinois and not Iowa.

Still a great shot. Nice meeting you.
